Karen Napaljarri Barnes is the latest sensation in Aboriginal Art to emerge from Warlukurlangku Artists of Yuendumu. Karen now in her twenties has been painting since the age of eleven, guided by her grandmother Judy Napangardi Watson. The daughter of Susie Watson she established a close bond with her grandmother who encourages her painting.

Karen moved to Yuendumu once completing school in Lajamanu and started painting for Warlukurlangu in 2001.
